About us

Hatched was launched in 2005 by Adam Day, James Venning, and James Saunders. Unlike some other on-line companies, everyone at Hatched had previously worked in the estate agency business. And with over 35 years of estate agency experience between them, they have the skills and expertise to handle any situation that may arise when buying, selling, or letting a property. We realise that it's sometimes difficult dealing with people you've never met, so here's just a little bit about some of the people who will be working hard on your behalf.

Adam Day Adam Day is a Sales Director who has worked in estate agency since leaving school in 1997. He started as a negotiator in an independent agency in Hertfordshire and quickly rose to Office manager before joining the other directors in setting up Hatched.

James Venning James Venning is also a Sales Director who was working at the same agency as Adam. James was a branch manager in Bedfordshire before taking some time off to travel the world. On his return he was offered his old job back where he met Adam and the idea for Hatched was born!

James Saunders James Saunders is our Lettings Director. After leaving University he joined an estate agents in Hertfordshire and quickly progressed to the role of Client Account Manager responsible for over 400 properties. He is now responsible for the lettings side of Hatched.

Lisa Earl Lisa Earl is our Lettings Manager. Lisa started her career in lettings soon after leaving university and has been working in the rentals market for over 6 years. She joined Hatched in 2008 and has quickly built a reputation for herself and Hatched in this highly competitive market.

Alanna Gore Alanna Gore is our Adminstrator and probably the most important person at Hatched! Having worked in estate agency for over 11 years there is little she doesn’t know about the business, or what goes on in the office and she makes sure that everything runs like clockwork.

Duncan Wallace Duncan is our Sales Consultant. Duncan has been at Hatched since April 2009 after "learning the trade" for 3 years at his previous employers. Duncan has grown into a highly valued member of the team with a passion and desire to make sure all of our clients are happy with our service. He oversees pending viewings, feedback, the diary, instructions, offers and sales progression - basically everything!

Chelsea Truett Chelsea started in May 2010 and is a member of our lettings team. Chelsea deals with everything from arranging viewings to moving tenants in. Her main strength, having dealt with snagging issues for a large firm of New Home Builders, is her ability to deal with any maintenance issue that arise at one of our rented properties both calmly and efficiently.

Joseph Lee As a "newbie" to estate agency, Joe has taken to it like the proverbial duck to water! An excellent communicator, very well organised and a fantastic negotiator, Joe is currently studying to become a surveyor, so he´s a clever bloke as well!

What's happening at Hatched?

Since we launched we've seen an incredible level of people wanting to sell or let their house through Hatched. More and more people are recognising that there really is no need to use a high street agent any more. Some have initially been wary of using an on-line company, but have quickly realised that the levels of service and professionalism they receive are actually greater with Hatched than with their local estate agents.

We now have hundreds of satisfied customers and receive many wonderful comments from people who just can't believe how much they have saved by using Hatched to sell their property. They are also impressed by the way we use technology to improve the experience for both buyers and sellers alike.

We are continuing to grow and are constantly looking for new ways to improve our services. We now have a reputation for being the first to use new ideas - so keep a look out for our next new innovation!
